No one knows when that day or time will be, not the angels in heaven, not even the Son. Only the Father knows. When the Son of man comes, it will be like what happened in the times of Noah. In those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving their children to be married, until the day Noah entered the boat. They knew nothing about what was happening until the flood came and destroyed them. It will be the same when the Son of man comes. Matthew 24:36-39

He chose this path for me;
No feeble chance, nor hard, relentless fate,
But love, His love, hath placed the footsteps here;
He knew the way was rough and desolate,
Knew how my heart would often sink with fear,
Yet tenderly He whispered, "Child, I see
This path is best for thee. "

He chose this path for me;
Though well He knew sharp thorns would tear my feet,
Knew how the troubles would obstruct the way,
Knew all the hidden dangers I would meet,
Knew how my faith would falter day by day,
And still the whisper echoed, "Yes, I see
This path is best for thee."

He chose this path for me;
Even while He knew the fearful midnight gloom
My timid, shrinking soul must travel through;
How towering rocks would oft before me loom,
And phantoms grim would meet the frightened view;
Still comes the whisper, "My beloved, I see
This path is best for thee."

He chose this path for me;
What need I more? This sweeter truth to know?
That all along these strange, bewildering ways,
O'er rocky steeps, and where dark rivers flow,
His loving arms shall bear me all my days;
A few steps more and I myself shall see
This path was BEST for me.

Lie not to one another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in the knowledge after the image of him that created him.

A little boy was afraid of the dark. One night his
mother asked him to go out to the back porch and bring
her the broom. The little boy turned to his mother and
said, "Mama, I don't want to go out there. It's dark."
The mother smiled reassuringly at her son. "You don't
have to be afraid of the dark," she explained. "Jesus
is out there. He'll look after you and protect you."
The little boy looked at his mother real hard and
asked, "Are you sure he's out there?" "Yes, I'm sure.
He is everywhere, and he is always ready to help you
when you need him," she said. The little boy thought
about that for a minute and then went to the back door
and cracked it a little. Peering out into the
darkness, he called, "Jesus? If you're out there,
would you please hand me the broom?"

This past week, I had dinner with a friend out at a restaurant. While we were there, we overheard the conversation between two ministers. Here is how the conversation went.

“I feel depression creeping into my life. I feel tired, weary and run down. I even thought about resigning from my church today. This has been coming on for months. I want to tell you something that I find hard to voice the words out loud, but I need to tell someone. I even feel disappointed with God.” One minister told his friend.

The other minister sat stunned, and said, “ What do you mean disappointed with God?”

He said, “Ten years ago, I lost the sight in my left eye due to glaucoma. I have prayed and prayed all these years for healing and I still remain blind! And now I have other health problems that I have been praying about, and they seems to either remain the same or are getting worse. Working as a bi-vocational minister, and as a truck driver, I fear that my health is going to make me lose my job! I am running on empty mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I feel like just going into my bedroom, closing the door and just staying away from everyone.”

His friend sat there and tried his best to console him. I heard him say what we ministers consider to be “all the right words” from the Scriptures. But, they fell on almost deaf ears. He was speaking to his mind, instead of his spirit. Although he “spoke the truth in love”, his friend really just needed someone to listen to his “feelings” and to pray for him privately.

As my friend and I sat there listening, I was deeply touched and concerned about the depressed brother, because I can closely identify with him. I have spent months wondering why certain things seem to remain the same in my life, after much intense prayer and Bible study. I know the Scriptures that says:

“Many are the afflictions of the right, but the Lord delivers them out of them ALL.”

“Whatsoever things ye desire, when ye pray, BELIEVE that ye receive them and YE SHALL HAVE THEM.”

“Ask (pray) and YE SHALL RECEIVE.”

“Wherefore if two agree touching ANYTHING in prayer, it SHALL BE DONE unto them.”

“God is NOT a man the He should LIE.”

As I set and ponder these things, I think of “righteous Job.” We are given his situation in the proverbial “nutshell”, thinking that all he went through happened and was over with in a few weeks. But, it could have been months, and even drug into a few years. I don’t think that the Lord “fixed” everything that was wrong in his life all over night. I personally feel that each of the problems that he had we dealt with progressively.

Reading the end of the Book of Job, gives me much hope that what went dreadfully wrong in “that family”, was faithfully taken care of by the Lord long before Job’s death. I have been going through many different things for weeks, months and yes, even years. I too have felt much like the depressed minister, thinking when will my needs, desires and health problems ever be taken care of?

“God is NOT a man that He should lie.” God cannot lie! His Word is truth and is based on His character and His personality. He is also called the “Spirit of Truth.” Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Word will NOT pass away.” This is what I base my faith and hope upon.

Jesus tells us that those that build their lives upon His Word, the “ROCK” foundation, will be able to weather all storms that He allows the enemy to bring their way. They will be given the faith to hold on to His Word until they see their miracles come to fruition.

He said, “IF you abide in Me (cling tightly to Jesus) and My Word abides in You (we have given it a place of PERMANENT residence in our spirit), ASK what you will, and IT SHALL BE DONE unto you.”

I firmly believe that God will “meet ALL our needs through His riches in Christ Jesus!” These needs will be met long before we die and pass on into glory. I get a little upset with preachers who try and give God and “out”, by telling poor depressed sickly saints, “God will heal you, even if He has to take you home to do it!” What foolishness! God does His miracles for two reasons, (1) He is a very MERCIFUL and pitying heavenly Father Who wants to see all His children healthy and well. That is why HEALING, as well as salvation, was provided for in the atonement of Christ on the cross. (2) Jesus came to openly make a show of breaking all the bonds, shackles, and fetters that the devil has placed on humanity. When He returned to heaven, He gave His servants that same POWER over the devil. Let’s use it!

We are told in the Book of Revelation, “They OVERCAME him (Satan) by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB and the WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY.”

Complete VICTORY is ours, because the battle IS the Lord’s. The BLOOD OF THE LAMB or the ATONEMENT is what SAVES and HEALS all people in and through Jesus name. THEN, people can go forth an TESTIFY to the awesome power and authority the NAME and the BLOOD of Jesus have had to heal them completely, or overcome any other problem in their life.

Those who trust in the Lord will NOT be made to be ashamed! What better way for the devil to gloat over God and God’s people, then if they NEVER see God “deliver them out of ALL of their afflictions” while they are alive. God will not stand for it! Where is the VICTORY in Jesus, if it is NOT in this life, so that the entire world can see? Nowhere! No matter what you have been through, what you are in the middle of, or what is to come, God will give you COMPLETE VICTORY through the BLOOD of the Lamb. Satan, the BLOOD of Jesus is against you! You will NOT win! You MUST release all those that call on the name of Jesus for salvation, healing and deliverance. Their VICTORY is NOW by faith, and will be seen progressively as the Lord moves in their life from day to day.

Don’t give up! Over come all that has come against you by the BLOOD of the Lamb, and then (testify), tell the world about what a great and awesome Father God we have.

Jesus is real. He knows your name and your situation and loves you. He is not far off, distant from you. He wants you to know that He is alive and willing to help you, and that if you desire to know Him, you can. If you ask Him to help you, He will. If you talk to Him, He will listen, and He will talk to you.

Jesus is the reason you have this paper in your hands because He told us to write it for you, and He made sure that it got to you. He knows all about you, from the start of your life until this very moment, and has compassionate sympathy for you. He sees your problems. He will help you if you ask Him. He never intended for you to be alone. He has always wanted you to know Him. This is why He made you, for the purpose of friendship with you. You can trust Him. To Him friendship is deep, and loving, and eternal. He will never leave you. All you have to do is be yourself and talk to Jesus and He will answer you and help you and then you can get to know Him. He is watching you read this, full of love for you.

This is written to explain why Jesus came and laid down His life for us. It explains that death is a necessary response to sin, and why He chose to make that death His own. He did it for you because He loves you.

In all the history of the world, no one other than Jesus, has been without sin. Sin is a powerful force which leads to death. Sin destroys. It moves from person to person, nation to nation. Sin causes pain and harm to all. Sin cannot enter into heaven, for if God allowed sin to enter heaven, then heaven would become like the earth, full of violence and evil acts.

The outcome of sin is death. Only death can equal death so it takes death to match sin. Each of us sins, and therefore we are the ones who should die, but for years God allowed an animal’s death to be substituted temporarily for man’s. By their blood sacrifices, offered in obedience, Adam (after sin entered him), Job, Abraham, Moses and others were able to have a relationship with God. They knew Him. They talked with Him and loved Him, and He talked with them and loved them. He wants the same relationship with you.

Man's wisdom

Sometimes man has tried to have a relationship with God through some other way than the way God said. Adam’s son Cain offered a sacrifice of vegetables instead of an animal. However, the Father didn't receive Cain’s sacrifice because there was not sufficient provision for sin in Cain's offering. It didn't matter if Cain had a good attitude or a bad attitude towards God if his offering was not sufficient to provide an atonement for sin.

Mankind doesn't really understand sin. To us sin is just a religious word. We don’t see why anything should be done about it, but God realizes how selfish and hurtful and powerful sin is and what terrible suffering it causes to all of us. Because of sin people go to hell, which is a place of separation from God. In heaven we will be face to face with God. There we will be free from sin and its power and effects, in a place where selfless love flows.

God's wisdom

God is wise, and because of His deep wisdom He is always right in what He says. If we don't heed Him and go the way He provided, then because of sin He must withdraw and turn away from us. He is pure and without sin and will not be marred by sin. If you remain in sin, without provision for it, you separate yourself from Him, and He cannot draw near, even though He yearns to draw near to you so that you might know Him. To know God, there must be provision for your sin.

Knowing God

For centuries man offered animal sacrifices to God for their sin, which had to be offered over and over. Many felt that God was distant from them and few really knew Him well. Often people did religious acts hoping to win His favor. Being religious and doing religious acts make people feel good about themselves, but they really have nothing to do with God Himself. God created us to know Him. We are created in His image and He is like us, only without sin. He is a loving Being, a Person who thinks, feels, loves, weeps, laughs, and cares. There is no comparison between knowing God and simply being religious. Adam knew Him, as did Moses, Abraham, Job, and many others, and He considers each of them to be His friend. They are all alive and know Him now. They are with Him in heaven, as He promises you will be, after you come to know Him.

Over time, the Father saw that animal sacrifices were not enough. Man was losing sight of knowing God and they became satisfied with their own religious acts. Eventually, as amazing as it is, God decided to come to earth Himself as a man, to pay the final penalty for sin, so all men could have a relationship with Him. The eternal penalty for sin would be met, (as painful and tortuous to Himself as it was) and then man would no longer have to offer, again and again, the blood of animals.

This is why Jesus came to earth. He is God, who came to die for us, to provide an eternal sacrifice for all men, so that "whosoever will" may come to the Father through His death; His own blood sacrifice for our sin. Jesus was and is without sin, so the offering of Himself that He brought to the Father was acceptable in every way. Jesus died with our sin on Him. His death is sufficient to atone for sin, and to make a bridge between man and God, so that we might come back to the Father again.

Jesus is compassionate, beautiful, kind, and loving. The consequences of our sin could have been our destruction, as the whole world was destroyed in Noah’s day. He could have caused mankind to cease to exist at all. The sacrifice He made to prevent our destruction and to restore us to Himself was entirely voluntary on His part. Jesus is God Almighty. He is a free Being. Who could force Him not to destroy us, let alone to come and lay down His life for us? People often think that it was God's duty to "save" us. No, it was not duty, but nobility. We can hardly comprehend the kind of love that He has, which caused Him to offer Himself in our place. If we lived a million years, we would never deserve what He did. He is gentle, yet powerful. He has absolute power over death. To prove this, He brought Himself back to life after He was killed.

It is finished

Once Jesus' life was taken, the Father was no longer willing for man to come any other way, whether it be by the blood of animals, another religion, philosophy, or belief system. The veil in the temple to the holiest room, set aside for God alone, was ripped from top to bottom (from heaven to earth) by God's hand while Jesus was on the cross. Jesus said at that time, "It is finished." Death was required in response to sin, and it was His own beloved Son’s death that the Father received.

You will feel His presence

The "good news" is that you no longer have to feel that God is distant, but you can come to the Father in humility, and ask Him to apply the wondrous sacrifice of Jesus to your sin and He gladly will. Then you can talk to Him, and He will talk to you and enter into a relationship with you that will never end. In the days to come, He will be close to you, no matter what comes into your life personally, or onto the entire world. He will stay with you and love you and help you.

He will make Himself known to you by His Holy Spirit. You will feel His presence, and He will answer your prayers. You will begin to get to know Jesus, who is full of love and good humor. He will help you to think clearly about your life and the world, with right thinking. As you talk to Him and He to you, He will draw very close to you. Not only can you talk to Him about your own life, but He will show you His thoughts and His plans, and all that is on His heart, just as you know and understand the feelings and thoughts from the heart of any friend whom you love. Eventually, He will bring you to heaven to be with Him forever. In the meantime, while on earth, you can know Him well. Knowing Jesus is not about going to church, because those who love Him and know Him are His church. Trust Jesus, because He will show you what He wants you to do. The Bible was written through the Holy Spirit for our sakes, but was not meant to take the place of knowing Him. The Bible truly is the word of God, and it leads to Jesus, who loves you and died for you and who is near you, wanting you to know Him. He wants you to respond to this invitation now and come and know Him. He is waiting for you.

When you begin to talk to Jesus, and He to you, we would like very much to hear from you. If you have questions, first ask Him, then feel free to write to us, with either questions or comments. The Binch >>>>>>>>>>

Every U down in Uville liked U.S. a lot,
But the Binch, who lived Far East of Uville, did not.
The Binch hated U.S.! The whole U.S. way!
Now don't ask me why, for nobody can say,
It could be his turban was screwed on too tight.
Or the sun from the desert had beaten too bright
But I think that the most likely reason of all
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small.

But, Whatever the reason, his heart or his turban,
He stood facing Uville, the part that was urban.
"They're doing their business," he snarled from his perch.
"They're raising their families! They're going to church!
They're leading the world, and their empire is thriving,
I MUST keep the S's and U's from surviving!"

Tomorrow, he knew, all the U's and the S's,
Would put on their pants and their shirts and their dresses,
They'd go to their offices, playgrounds and schools,
And abide by their U and S values and rules.

And then they'd do something he liked least of all,
Every U down in U-ville, the tall and the small,
Would stand all united, each U and each S,
And they'd sing Uville's anthem, "God bless us! God bless!"
All around their Twin Towers of Uville, they'd stand,
and their voices would drown every sound in the land.

"I must stop that singing," Binch said with a smirk,
And he had an idea--an idea that might work!
The Binch stole some U airplanes in U morning hours,
And crashed them right into the Uville Twin Towers.
"They'll wake to disaster!" he snickered, so sour,
"And how can they sing when they can't find a tower?"

The Binch cocked his ear as they woke from their sleeping,
All set to enjoy their U-wailing and weeping,
Instead he heard something that started quite low,
And it built up quite slow, but it started to grow--
And the Binch heard the most unpredictable thing...
And he couldn't believe it--they started to sing!

He stared down at U-ville, not trusting his eyes,
What he saw was a shocking, disgusting surprise!
Every U down in U-ville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any towers at all!
He HADN'T stopped U-Ville from singing! It sung!
For down deep in the hearts of the old and the young,
Those Twin Towers were standing, called Hope and called Pride,
And you can't smash the towers we hold deep inside.

So we circle the sites where our heroes did fall,
With a hand in each hand of the tall and the small,
And we mourn for our losses while knowing we'll cope,
For we still have inside that U-Pride and U-Hope.

For America means a bit more than tall towers,
It means more than wealth or political powers,
It's more than our enemies ever could guess,
So may God bless America! Bless us! God bless!

He was bound,
That we might have perfect liberty.

He was saddened,

Leave It There
If your body suffers pain
And your health you can't regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair;
Jesus knows the pain you feel,
He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your youthful days are gone
And old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then,
He'll go with you to the end;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there;
If you trust and never doubt,
He will surely bring you out;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

We know that feelings are changeable. They are affected by physical pain, by weariness, by need for sleep, by the suffering or death of a loved one. But beloved, our Lord cares. "For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust" (Psalm 103:14). We must learn to roll every care upon Him. And when we do, we will discover that He can do infinitely more for us than we can do for ourselves. "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Ephesians 3:20).

In conclusion, let me leave you with two verses ."Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). Yes, our loving Lord cares!

God ever cares! Not only in life's summer
When skies are bright and days are long and glad;
He cares as much when life is draped in winter,
And heart feels so bereft, and lone, and sad.

God ever cares! His heart is ever tender,
His love will never fail nor show decay;
The love of earth, though strong and deep, may perish,
But His shall never, never pass away.

God ever cares! And thus when life is lonely,
When blessings one time prized are growing dim,
The heart may find a sweet and sunny shelter--
A refuge and a resting place in Him.

God ever cares! And time can never change Him.
His nature is to care, and love, and bless;
And drearest, darkest, emptiest days afford Him
The means to make more sweet His own caress.

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed
This tiny little prayer
Keeps running through my head.
God bless my friends and family.
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do.
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's not normal
To bless a mother board,
But listen just a second
While I explain to you, my Lord.
You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds &ends
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my FRIENDS.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendship grew.

Please, take an extra minute
From your duties up above
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love!

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
bless each email Inbox
And the person who hits Send.

When you update your heavenly list
On your own CD-Rom
Remember each who've said this prayer
Sent up to God.com.

Thank you for being one of these very special people in my little metal box...

A truck driver was driving along on the freeway. He comes up to a
sign comes up that reads, "Low bridge ahead."

Before he knows it, the bridge is right ahead of him, and he gets
stuck under it. Cars are backed up for miles.

Finally, a police car comes up. The cop gets out of his car, walks
around to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips, and says, "Got
stuck, huh?"

The truck driver says, "No, I was delivering this bridge and ran out
of gas."

The man was in no shape to drive, so he wisely left his car parked and
walked home. As he was walking unsteadily along, he was stopped by a
policeman. "What are you doing out here at 2 A.M.?" asked the

"I'm going to a lecture." the man said.

"And who is going to give a lecture at this hour?" the cop asked.

"My wife." said the man.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:
but you knoweth him; for he dwells with you; and shall be in you.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes ;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought.

My child, refuse to allow anything into your life that is not from My
Word. Is that your declaration today? If it's not from My Holy Word, then
it's foreign to you. Your spiritual man will cast off failure like your body
will cast off a virus. Decide to stand firm on My Word. Make a commitment
to take possession of the lamb and take back from the enemy what he has
stolen from you.
The devil may seek to destroy, steal and kill, but refuse to be
intimidated. Chose to declare My Son's victory. Decide to speak My Word not
the analysis, research and polling of man. Man's opinion or assessment of My
predicament isn't reality. Circumstances do not determine the future, and
the past does not determine the present.
Start declaring what I have done! Start speaking Victory!
Your loving Father.

he will not serve before obscure men. Proverbs 22:29

Tomorrow will always be there, waiting for me to make the most of it.
But I cannot make the most of tomorrow without first
making the most of today.

worthy of my respect and admiration.
This capable person looking back at me is someone I enjoy
spending time with and someone I would like to get to know better.

I value this gift bestowed upon me in this world and I will
unselfishly share this gift with others.
I will use this gift to enhance the lives of others.

Beginning today I will take a moment to step off the beaten path
and to revel in the mysteries I encounter.
I will face challenges with courage and determination.
I will overcome what barriers there may be which hinder

Regardless of what has gone before, I believe there is hope
for a brighter and better future.

But I will applaud the attempt to overcome human foibles.
